Reason is as you push the piston into the caliper brake fluid will refill the master from the fluid that is in the lines. With the lid coving the top of the master fluid will not shoot up and on to the engine comp. Put a pan under the car to catch any extra fluid that might over run the master res. remove the caliper and bracket if need. Then remove rotors and (HAVE) them machine turn by a shop,push in the piston of the caliper all the way in using a large Channel Lock or a large C-Clamp,replace bracket if taken off, install pads install caliper. Before you drive pump the brake pedal a few time to move the pads toward the brake rotors. The first few pumps the brake pedal will go down to the floor but will come up to its normal postion. Check level in the master.
