you can get yourself in a lot of trouble trying to learn on your own

they are really not too complicated once you learn the basics %26amp; what to do and when to do it.How do i replace calipers and wheel barrings? You should start with a shop manual. A chiltons manual will tell you all the info you require. How do i replace calipers and wheel barrings?Okay... let me give this a shot...

Bleeding brakes... you will have bolts on the rear of the caliper holding it on, undo those, unhook the brake line (it should unscrew), get your new caliper out and fill it up with brake fluid (this is what i do, not everyone does it tho). let it bubble and drain down into the caliper and refill it until it stays full. if you're replacing the brake lines, follow them to the distribution block (just follow the lines to a metal box that they are screwed into) and unscrew the line from there. Put your replacement line in and screw the other end into the caliper. Do the same thing on the opposite side (if you started on the driver side, move on to the passenger side). After you've done all the brake work, get a friend to sit in the driver seat. Take the cap off the master cylinder and fill it to the top with brake fluid. Next get down by your caliper... have your friend pump the brakes 10 times... and then have them hold the brakes down! Now you need to unscrew the bleeder valve located on the top/back of the caliper. After the fluid shoots out, tighten the valve back up. Repeat the process a few times, then move on to the next side. You WILL need to bleed the rear drums as well. They also will have a bleeder valve on them...

Wheel bearings... I'm not 100% sure on your S10, but I have a Toyota Pickup and the bearings are fairly easy to replace. You will need to take your steel cap off the hub, and there will be a spindle/bearing nut. Unscrew the nut, and remove your rotor and hub assembly. The bearings are inside of that assembly... remove the old ones. Now put a decent amount of bearing grease in the palm of your hand and pack the bearings with grease... spare no grease... the more the merrier! Now replace the old worn out bearings with your new ones. Put the assembly back together, and tighten the bearing nut TIGHT! And then back it back off and snug it. This will seat the bearings. Replace the cotter pin that goes over the bearing nut, and voila! The job is done... throw your tire back on and move on to the next side and repeat the process.

I strongly agree that you need to go down to AutoZone and pick up a Haynes manual for your truck. They are relatively idiot-proof and will walk you through each process better than I can. Good luck and hope this helps! How do i replace calipers and wheel barrings?Remove wheels

Unbolt calipers from spindle

Top off brake fluid reservoir

Have the new Hoses installed on the calipers with NEW banjo bolt washers ready to go

Note to routing of the brake hose

Quickly remove the caliper/hose from the vehicle.

Try to move quickly as not to let the master cylinder reservoir empty.

Install the new caliper/hose assm.

Hang it by a coat hanger for now while you move onto the bearings.

BEARING:

Remove the dust cover form center

Carefully remove the cotter pin.

Remove the retaining nut

Remove washer.

Remove front bearing, Clean, Set aside

Remove rotor

Remove dust seal from back of rotor(discard %26amp; replace

Remove rear bearing, Clean, Set aside

Clean and Inspect all bearing needles and bearing races for any sign of damage or pitting.

PACKING GREASE:

Start by putting a golf ball sized amount of wheel bearing grease in your palm

Hold the bearing in your other hand

Basically try and %26quot;chip away at the grease%26quot; Your trying to force the grease into the bottom of the bearing until you see it coming out the top. It takes a little while to get the hang of it.

ROTOR INSTALL:

Place your packed bearing in the back of the rotor

Install new dust seal

Place rotor on vehicle

Install front packed bearing

Install washer

Install nut

Tighten the nut to about 15-18 lb ft. then back it off

Then slowly tighten the nut until all play is gone and there is slight drag on the rotor

** Over tightening/overtightening will cause bearing failure**

Look to see if cotter pin hole is lined up, if not go a little tighter till it is

Reinstall dust cap

REINSTALL CALIPERS ON ROTORS

BLEEDING:

With the aid of an assistant.

Top off reservoir.

Start with the wheel farthest from the master

Have them pump up the brakes with the bleeders CLOSED then hold them down

Open the bleeder while they are holding

**They cannot let off the brake until you have tightened the bleeder, this will pull air in**

When the pedal bottoms out tighten the bleeder and have them pump them and hold them again

Repeat process
